Why I started Cherish

It started with "Mommy, I made a gift for you!"

I'm Cai (pronounced Kai). I spent more than ten years working in tech, and none of it compares to being a mom. My son brings home "gifts" from daycare, and every one of them went up on our wall.

One day I got sad thinking about how they might get ruined. They're paper, after all, and I wanted them to be more than photos on my phone. After months of research, I found designers and artisans who shared that vision. My first piece came from a paper plate he painted for me, with "Mom" in the middle. I wear it every day, and the enamel still looks new.

Since then I've learned that everyone has something like this. The dog who's been there for everything. The photo from the proposal. A newborn's first footprints. Whatever yours is, Cherish Designs is here to help you keep it.
