Cherish Designs is run by Cherish Design Love ("CDL", "we", "us"). This page explains what we collect when you visit cherishdesigns.shop or order from us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Your order: the photos you upload, what you tell us about them, and your choices for the piece, metal, chain and timing.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We see that you paid and the last digits of your card, never your full card number.
- Newsletter: your email address, if you sign up or tick the box on the order form.
- Basic technical data: our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To design, make and ship your jewelry
- To send you your design, revisions and order updates
- To send our newsletter, only if you asked for it. You can unsubscribe any time.
- To keep records we need for taxes and accounting
Who we share it with
We only share what each partner needs to do their part:
- Our designers and jewelry makers, some of whom are based outside the United States, receive your photos and design choices so they can create your piece.
- Stripe processes your payments.
- Netlify hosts our website and stores order form submissions.
- Shipping carriers receive your name and address to deliver your order.
- Google provides our email.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Your photos
We use your photos to make your piece. We may share photos of finished pieces, sometimes next to the original, on our website and social media. We cover faces of people before sharing, and if you'd rather we didn't share yours at all, email us and we'll leave it out.
Cookies
Our website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we'll update this page first.
Children
Many of our pieces are made from children's artwork, but our website and services are for adults. Parents and guardians send the artwork and place orders. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
How long we keep it
We keep order details for as long as we need them to make your piece, handle any questions or repairs, and meet tax and accounting rules. You can ask us to delete your photos and details at any time, as long as we don't have to keep them by law.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from our emails. Just email us and we'll take care of it.
Changes
We'll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
